The River Flow Planner tool and the gage records it presents are provided for general informational and planning purposes. Flow, gage-height, and related values are derived from historical daily-mean records published by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and other governmental water resource agencies, and may contain gaps, estimated values, revisions, or errors. Historical data is not a guarantee of current or future conditions, and river flows can change rapidly and without warning due to precipitation, snowmelt, dam operations, and other factors.
River Flow Planner is backward looking statistical tool that can provide information for future planning, not a substitute for real-time monitoring, local knowledge, or the judgment of a qualified professional. Activities in, on, or near flowing water — including fishing, swimming, rafting or other boating, wading or working in-stream, and diverting or withdrawing water — carry inherent risks, including but not limited to drowning, hypothermia, entrapment, entanglement, and property damage. Conditions suitable for one activity, craft, or skill level may be hazardous for another.
Always verify current conditions before entering or working near water, wear appropriate safety equipment (such as a properly fitted personal flotation device), obtain any required permits or water rights before diverting water, and follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
